AFAR CIVIC KIDS STORY HOUR

Join us for AFAR's monthly Civic Kids Story Hour this Saturday at 11:00am, where we will read stories together followed by an arts and crafts activity.

Join us for a great opportunity for face time with a School Board Member! Jim has been officially serving our Wake County kids for 7 years, but is an educator and teacher first! He is a professor at NCSU and representative of District 5 (downtown / southern Wake County).

Got questions? Bring them! And your kids!

Story time starts at 11:10 followed by craft & social time.

AFAR stands for Activating Families Across Raleigh. "We work to make progressive activism and civic engagement accessible to all Raleigh families." Learn more at https://www.afaraleigh.com.

Local educator, Deanna Hicks, will be guiding us through the activity. Arts & crafts may incorporate a variety of materials and methods, from paper crafting, paints and mixed media. Activities are designed to be appropriate for most kids ages 2+, are intended to be an exploration of the arts and focused on building confidence and fine motor skills.

No registration is needed for storytime and there is no charge for AFAR attendees.
