AFAR Civic Kids Story Hour

Join us for AFAR's monthly Civic Kids Story Hour this Saturday at 11:00am, where we will read stories together followed by an arts and crafts activity. 

Our special guest reader is Wiley Nickel, former Obama staffer and Candidate for NC Senate 16Wiley will be reading the book "Dream Big Dreams: Photographs from Barack Obama's Inspiring and Historic Presidency (Young Readers)" by Pete Souza Former Chief Official White House Photographer. 

Wiley’s own children will also be in attendance, so please bring the whole family!

Local educator, Deanna Hicks, will be guiding us through the activity. Arts & crafts may incorporate a variety of materials and methods, from paper crafting, paints and mixed media. Activities are designed to be appropriate for most kids ages 2+, are intended to be an exploration of the arts and focused on building confidence and fine motor skills.

No registration is needed for storytime and there is no charge for AFAR attendees.
